Located in Brooklyn’s historic Cobble Hill district, this beautifully renovated 1,400-square-foot apartment brings new life to a 1910 building while preserving the character that made the original space so special. Untouched since the 1960s, the apartment offered a unique opportunity to blend historic charm with a warm, contemporary aesthetic. The renovation focused on thoughtful, sustainable design creating a home that feels minimal yet inviting, understated yet rich in texture and craftsmanship.

In the bathroom, handmade Zellige tile from Moroccan Mosaic & Tile House became an important part of that design story. Our Zellige and Contemporary Zellige collections were used across the bathroom floors and walls, introducing the subtle variations in color, texture, and surface that make authentic Moroccan Zellige so distinctive. Each tile is handmade by skilled artisans in Morocco using traditional techniques and natural materials, making it a beautiful choice for a project centered around craftsmanship, longevity, and environmentally conscious design.

To complete the bathroom floor, our Dama Border was incorporated along the edges, creating a refined decorative frame around the Zellige installation. The geometric border adds definition and visual interest while complementing the simplicity of the surrounding tile. Together, the Zellige, Contemporary Zellige, and Dama Border demonstrate how centuries-old Moroccan craftsmanship can feel completely at home within a sophisticated Brooklyn interior bringing warmth, individuality, and timeless character to a modern renovation.Credits
