At Moroccan Mosaic & tile House, we are drawn to projects where craftsmanship and materiality shape the atmosphere of a space. A recent project in Santa Fe, California reflects this philosophy beautifully an outdoor environment where handmade surfaces bring depth, rhythm, and quiet character to the architecture. Set against the warm landscape and coastal light of Southern California, the design embraces natural textures and thoughtful details. Rather than relying on excess ornamentation, the project focuses on materials that feel authentic, tactile, and enduring.

The Vision: Texture and Tradition in an Outdoor Spa.

The Tanaya Mosaic tile design approach centers on balance allowing handcrafted elements to complement the surrounding architecture while enhancing the experience of space. Mosaic tiles create a warm, organic backdrop, while carefully selected tiles introduce pattern and movements without overwhelming the environment. Within this composition, tile becomes a defining feature used to frame architectural moments and add subtle artistry to the outdoor spa.

The Role of Baraka Handmade Mosaic

Throughout the project, Baraka handmade mosaic tile is used to bring depth and visual rhythm to key areas of the design. Each mosaic piece is crafted by hand using traditional Moroccan techniques, giving the surface natural variation in tone and texture. Installed along the pool wall, the Baraka mosaic introduces a refined pattern that interacts beautifully with water and light. The handcrafted surface reflects subtle tonal shifts throughout the day, creating movement and visual richness while maintaining a timeless, understated elegance.

Stair Details with Delta Border

The stairs are framed with the Delta border, adding definition and craftsmanship to the architectural lines of the space. The border acts as a refined transition between surfaces, highlighting the geometry of the staircase while complementing the surrounding Baraka mosaic tile. This thoughtful detailing transforms a functional element into a moment of design where pattern, texture, and proportion come together to elevate the overall composition.

Space Designed to Endure

This Santa Fe project reflects the enduring beauty of handmade materials. When tile is chosen for its authenticity and craftsmanship, it becomes more than a decorative element it becomes part of the architectural language of the space. The  Baraka mosaic  and Delta border introduce depth, artistry, and timeless character, demonstrating how traditional Moroccan craftsmanship can seamlessly complement contemporary California design.
